On 23 September 2015 the Barclays announcedthat it will henceforth does not provide offshore services. In practice, this means that non-resident accounts in foreign currency will no longer be opened and existing accounts will be closed.
In our opinion Seychelles still a reliable offshore country, although we know that some people trusted him because they could open an account at Barclays.
We have never recommended the services of Barclays Bank, however, we are in contact with them. The lengthy account opening process and the minimum deposit were some of the reasons for this, but perhaps most importantly, the name, proximity and availability of Barclays did not guarantee us what our clients expect from an offshore account.
We will continue to offer bank account opening facilities and welcome prospective clients who have banked with Barclays but now need to re-establish their offshore money movement options.
